Concussion Policy & Heading Guidelines

All LSC coaches and managers are required to take an online course in Concussion Training for Coaches, before they may coach or officiate. The certificate of completion at the end of the training is proof the course has been taken. The course must be completed once every three years to stay in compliance. Please maintain your certificate of completion and update as required every 3 years.  

If you are associated with:
A) an MYSA team for league play, you can take the free CDC program offered by the State of Minnesota (link below and takes approximately 45 minutes)

Coach Background Checks

All LSC coaches, assistants, and managers that have a team participating in the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) leagues or the Twin City Soccer League (TCSL) are required to have completed a background check in order to participate. 

For MYSA (U15+ Age Teams): The period for completing a background check for 2018 opened on November 1, 2017. Background checks that were completed before November 1, 2017 will expire on December 31, 2017. Background checks that are completed on or after November 1, 2017 will expire on December 31, 2018.

TCSL Background Checks
 (U9-U14 Age Groups) - Coaches, managers of teams participating in the TCSL have two requirements that need to completed. Background checks opened 8/1/17 and if you have already completed the below, you do not need to submit again.

For those needing to complete, please contact us at clubadmin@lakevillesoccer.org prior to beginning the process below.

Step 1) Please Complete The Sideline Sports Doc (SSD) online course. (required) Go to http://usclubsoccer.sidelinesportsdoc.com

Step 2: Complete background screening***. [US Club Soccer Background Screening Application]

US Club Soccer substantially increased its background screening standard and transitioned the application and process to the SportsEngine platform. A valid SSD certificate number is required to complete the background screening application. This step must be completed by the person registering with US Club Soccer.
